Aposematic Fly
I think this is a fly. It has yellow-jacket aposematic markings. (That's my new dollar word-of-the-day.) It is covered in pollen from a Chinese Lilac bush. The photo was taken with the macro lens 6-12-05 7pm.
My macrophotography. Lots of bugs -- flowers, water and other things if I can't find fauna. (Click on a photo to enlarge, click again for an even greater enlargement.)

I'm still getting used to the software, so pardon the rough edges. The Aposematic Fly was taken with the FUJIFILM FinePix S5000, 1/420s, focal length 19mm, f/3.2, ISO 200.
It seems silly to be the only one posting here, but I think I found out what this fly is: Common Hover Fly or Melangyna viridiceps. An aphid-eater, yea!
The pictures at this link seem to bear a striking resemblance.
