My macrophotography. Lots of bugs -- flowers, water and other things if I can't find fauna. (Click on a photo to enlarge, click again for an even greater enlargement.)
Here's another skipper, I think another checkered skipper, but this time I caught her laying eggs. She seemed to be laying one egg per little plant (I still need to look up the name of this one). She was so intent on her task that I was mostly an afterthought.
On such a little plant? That's a little surprising ... when the eggs hatch, the caterpillers should have enough to eat. Or are there lots of such plants nearby, to which the cats can migrate easily?
Oh yeah, its everywhere. It's a low growing plant that invades lawns very well, especially scrubby, struggling ones. For every 20 blades of grass in this area, one of these little plants was growing. I haven't found it yet, but I'm still looking.
I'm a mom of three incredible children. I also do quilting, photography, math geek stuff, computer wrangling, origami, and entomology-arachnology geek stuff.

NICE moments like these are hard to
capture and find, very good shot.
A great moment-and well captured.
Check out my website--there is a ton
of new stuff on it.
