These pieces of glass and china are gathered from the ruins of the Crags Hotel in the Eldorado State Park. A scattered collection resides on the top of the remains of the fireplace, just below there's a pile of rusted bent nails.

I think the weirdest thing about this one, was realizing that this whole resort complex was built at the turn of the century with only a narrow dirt and rock path climbing 1200ft above the trailhead at 5700ft.
Recreation inspired an faint distant echo of the heroic efforts that put monastaries back in the Tibetan mountains; American fickleness maintained it for only four years.
I'm a mom of three incredible children. I also do quilting, photography, math geek stuff, computer wrangling, origami, and entomology-arachnology geek stuff.
