Zooming in with 24x Lens

Here's a quickie demo of my new 24x lens. I've got a tape measure showing 1cm. The top is with my camera's built in zoom back all the way and the bottom with my optical zoomed all the way. This camera is only 3.1MP and the resulting pictures are about 99x75 cm. I haven't done any cropping on these pics. Posted by Picasa

Now here's where your jaw is really going to drop:

The three Raynox Lenses, 6x, 12x, and 24x along with the universal adapter (good for lenses and tubes 52 - 67mm) was 99 USD. Since these are fitting on top of my zoom lens, I can have a really fun time. ;)

I adore Raynox, before I found these lenses I had no hope to afford to capture all the things my eyes wanted to see in pictures.

I was doing a google search for information on the Raynox Micro Explorer set and came upon your blog. There's not a whole lot of information out there about these lenses so glad you posted some photos of what it can do.

I am frustrated taking pictures only using the camera macro feature. Really close up photos are almost impossible even if the camera focuses down to 1 cm. So I'm looking into close up macro filters like Hoya +1 +2 & +4 set and now the Raynox lenses. I've been to the lensmate site and they give lots of interesting information and have decided to see if the Ray. Micro Ex. would work with my camera a Canon A620. At least on the lensmate site they've use a Raynox 12x lens with the A620 so I know that will work.
Anyway I thought I'd write to say thanks for posting the pictures and look forward to seeing more.
