My macrophotography. Lots of bugs -- flowers, water and other things if I can't find fauna. (Click on a photo to enlarge, click again for an even greater enlargement.)
Great mantis photos. I especially like the caption on this one! Just curious: do you feel it's a little early in the season for adult mantids already? I know we had some very early hatchlings this year here in CA. (signs of global warming??)
Thanks! I thought it was funny that the first thing she(?) did when she felt secure was to clean herself off.
I found my first viable mantid egg case this year ( May 1st) and I thought our weather was too cold for these European mantids to successfully reproduce here.
So, early or at all is weird for here. Generally I buy imported, refrigerated matid egg cases from the gardening center and they hatch about two weeks after heating up.
I'm a mom of three incredible children. I also do quilting, photography, math geek stuff, computer wrangling, origami, and entomology-arachnology geek stuff.
